Collecting does not begin with mastering the technology.
It begins with discovering art you care about.

101 is built for that moment: enough structure to orient you, enough access to make it real, and enough space to ask your own questions.

Who it is for

If digital art has been on your mind.

The
Contemporary Collector

You already collect contemporary art and keep wondering what is happening digitally.

The
Emerging Collector

You are beginning to collect and want to build your eye before building a collection.

The
Technology Insider

You work around technology, creativity, or innovation, and have been curious about collecting for a while.

The
Curious Beginner

You simply saw a digital artwork you loved and thought: where do I actually begin?

Already collecting digital art?

If you are already active in digital art and looking for the full 100 collectors network, you can start with a collector introduction instead.

Start collector introduction

You do not need to arrive already fluent.

You need a clearer map, better references, and a first sense of who is in the room.

Understand

What is happening in digital art, and what matters?

Start with the landscape: artists, platforms, exhibitions, collecting formats, cultural signals, and what is actually worth paying attention to. Includes guides on the basics, ownership, living with digital art, and where to begin.

Discover

Who is making the work, and how do they think?

Meet the people shaping the space through a live conversation with a leading digital artist. Not a lecture. A conversation.

Experience

What does the community and calendar actually feel like?

For two months, access selected parts of the 100 collectors community: conversations, briefings, discoveries, and collector perspectives, alongside your own 101 cohort. You will also be invited to a selected IRL experience connected to the digital art calendar.

Begin

Am I ready to collect, and what should I do next?

By the end, you should have a clearer sense of what you like, who you want to follow, what questions to ask, and whether you are ready to collect. We will help you think through what comes next.

What you leave with

A clearer view of the field.
A stronger sense of your own taste.

  • a working orientation across the digital art landscape
  • artists and practices to keep following
  • a better understanding of what it means to own and live with digital art
  • a first sense of community, and a next step that fits where you are

How 101 unfolds

Enrollment closes September 30.

Questions you might have

A few practical things.

Do I need to know anything about crypto?

No. You do not need a wallet, crypto, or previous knowledge of digital art. If those things become relevant, we will explain them without assuming you already understand them.

Is 101 only about NFTs?

No. NFTs are one part of the history and infrastructure around digital art, but 101 looks at the wider field: artists, practices, ownership models, display, collecting formats, and the questions collectors should ask today.

Is 101 a membership?

No. 101 is a two-month cohort designed as a starting point. At the end, you can stop there or, if it makes sense for you, continue into 100 collectors.

Can the 101 fee count toward membership?

Yes. If you decide to join 100 collectors within 30 days after completing 101, your 250€ 101 fee is credited toward your first annual membership. The credit applies to the first annual membership only and is not refundable or transferable.

Can I join remotely?

Yes. The core program is accessible online. Selected physical experiences are additional opportunities for those able to attend.

What if I miss a live session?

You will still be able to follow the program and stay connected to the cohort. Sessions are recorded, so missing one should not mean losing the thread.

Is this for people who already collect?

Yes and no. If you are curious about digital art and want a clearer way in, the door is open. Some people in 101 may already collect contemporary art, photography, editions, or design. Others may be at the beginning of their collecting journey. What matters is curiosity, seriousness, and a desire to understand the field beyond hype or speculation.

Maybe you are already a collector. Maybe you are about to become one.

Either way, start with curiosity.
